Company of Animals, Founder and CEO, Dr Roger Mugford

“All dogs, regardless of age or breed, require training and at the Company of Animals Pet Centre, we have seen over half a million dogs since 1979 and each one is, like humans, entirely different from the next. What is certain, is training a dog will strengthen the bond between the pet and owner and ensure both parties can settle into a happy, harmonious life together. Play is also essential for cognitive, emotional, and physical development and so, in the interest of animal welfare and happiness, it seemed only logical to combine the two for a positive, balanced, and happy approach to training.”

Coachi dog training products are perfect for all ages of puppies and dogs, from 8 weeks +

Puppies are continually learning, regardless of whether we are formally training them. So, ideally training should start as early as possible in a dog’s life, to help promote good and desirable behaviour. Providing appropriate outlets for their natural instincts, such as with engaging activities like puppy chew toys, can significantly aid in their learning process. However, training can be undertaken at any age, you really can teach an old dog new tricks!

We all know that trying to select the right product for your needs can be quite confusing! The categories are designed to help make this process easier make finding the right dog training product easy.

Learn, is the first stage of the training process and focuses on the basics of social behaviour helping you tackle the basics; chewing, biting, jumping up etc. So, if you are just getting started with your furry companion, Coachi dog chew toys will be the right tools to aid you.

Play, is the second stage in the training process and all about building a positive relationship and happy partnership with your dog, great for games, fun and rewarding training. Reward toys, such as our dog tug toy and dog fetch toy, offer a fantastic alternative to food rewards and are perfect for dogs who are not food motivated or those that are watching their waistlines! Great for any level of training and stage of dog training.

Fun & Tricks, is the final stage of the training process, focused on extra fun and games you can have to further progress your training. Tackled the basics? Want to do more? This is the category for you!

Coachi is the first dog training range to incorporate play into the training category. Here at the Company of Animals we believe that a ‘holistic’ training approach is best for dogs, so alongside proven training tools we have added a range of dog toys that can be used to reward and stimulate and help promote a positive training experience, whilst also having fun.

Play is truly integral to improving a dog’s way of learning and really helps promote a positive relationship between dogs and their owners. Also, many dogs are not motivated by food or are overweight and not able to have additional food rewards, so reward toys for dogs are the perfect solution.

All dogs, regardless of age or breed, require training and at the Company of Animals Pet Centre we have seen over half a million dogs since 1979 and each one is entirely different from the next! Training helps strengthen the bond between pet and owner and ultimately ensures a happy and harmonious life. What’s more, play is an essential part of cognitive, emotional, and physical development and so it seemed logical to combine the two for a positive, balanced and happy approach to dog training.

Our onsite dog training facility provides us with an enviable position of being surrounded by dogs and their owners every day.  Seeing firsthand the most common issues that dog owners experience allows us the opportunity to develop products and approaches that can really help. We are also extremely lucky to have a very knowledgeable product development team, with over 100 years of combined experience  (yes, we have been doing this a long time!) allowing us to create effective products that really deliver results.
