Sustainability Commitment Statement
At Company of Animals, our mission is clear: to enrich the lives of pets and people through innovative, best-in-class products and services. As we continue to fulfil our mission, we are equally committed to ensuring that our impact on the world around us is positive and lasting. This commitment is embodied in our sustainability initiative, COA Embark, which is guided by four core principles: People, Planet, Pets, and Policy.
Our Approach
People

We believe in creating a better world for everyone—our employees, customers, partners, and the communities in which we operate. Our commitment to people means fostering an inclusive, supportive, and equitable workplace where every voice is heard, and every individual is respected. We are dedicated to being kind to our community, ensuring fair treatment in all our interactions, and contributing to social well-being through our products and initiatives.
Planet

The health of our planet is fundamental to the well-being of all living beings. We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint by adopting sustainable practices across our operations. This includes reducing waste, conserving resources, and pursuing innovative solutions that lessen our impact on the environment. We strive to be bold in our approach to environmental stewardship, continuously seeking ways to protect and preserve the natural world for future generations.
Pets

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do. We are driven by a deep respect for animals and a desire to improve their lives. Our products are designed to promote the well-being of pets, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. In line with our core value of kindness, we prioritize the ethical treatment of animals in all aspects of our business, from product development to partnerships.
Policy

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that our business practices are transparent, ethical, and accountable. Our governance practices are rooted in fairness, as we strive to build trust with our customers, vendors, and stakeholders. By being bold in our approach to leadership and decision-making, we aim to set an example in the industry, driving positive change and fostering a culture of integrity.

Charity and Community Support
At Company of Animals, we’re committed to making a positive impact beyond our business. Alongside our sustainability goals, we support charitable initiatives and community projects that reflect our values of people, planet, pets and policy.
We are also committed to providing aid for pets and animals in crisis, whether in war-torn regions or areas affected by natural disasters. Our support is always focused on the welfare of animals and communities, without political affiliation or agenda.
We’ll be sharing more about our charitable activities here soon, so you can see the important work being done behind the scenes to improve animal welfare, support local communities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

We minimise our environmental footprint through waste reduction, resource conservation, and partnerships with environmental organisations.
Animal welfare is at the heart of our mission. All products are developed to support pets’ health, safety, and comfort, adhering to stringent ethical standards in our product design process.
Our Global Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Human Rights Policy promote a fair and inclusive workplace where every individual is respected, ensuring equality in recruitment, training, and advancement.
We’ve implemented customer recycling bins for pet-related waste at our head offices at Ruxbury Farm, and our Pet Centre, supporting waste reduction in our communities.
We are passionate about renewable energy sources and have solar panels located at our head offices, which have already saved over 8000kg of CO2 emissions. We have also recently planted a woodland area with over 4000 native trees.
Our Anti-Corruption Policy ensures high standards of transparency and integrity in all business dealings, with a zero-tolerance approach to unethical practices.
We uphold ethical business practices through our Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines strict standards for labour, environmental, and ethical practices. Regular visits with our business partners ensure these standards are consistently met throughout the Supply Chain.

Innovation drives our sustainability goals by prioritising sustainable materials, reducing resource use, and exploring new technologies. As part of these efforts, we’ve installed solar panels at our head office, cutting over 8,000kg of CO2 emissions, and recently planted a woodland area with more than 4,000 native trees.
We are actively reducing water consumption, energy usage, and waste emissions, aiming for a responsible business that respects the environment.
We’ve removed plastic from over 70% of our product range since 2019 and continue to work towards sustainable packaging options, recognised with a sustainability award from Packaging News.
We strive to use recyclable materials across our products. Please check individual product guidelines for recyclability, as this can vary based on materials and local recycling capabilities.
“The global challenges we face are significant but we are here to play our part, work with stakeholders, to innovate, invest and lead the way to create a better world for pets and the people who love them.”
